Indigo Goes to School

What turns blue before your eyes, smells...well, not so great, and inspired a new dance? Our new video takes you inside indigo dyeing workshops in two New York City middle schools taking part in our Silk Road Connect program.

Inspired by the cultural traditions of the historical Silk Road, the Silk Road Project is a catalyst promoting innovation and learning through the arts. Our vision is to connect the world's neighborhoods by bringing together artists and audiences around the globe.

New Board Leadership
The Silk Road Project has announced that Daniel Y.C. Ng has taken over as board chair. Paul Shang has accepted the position of vice chair, and Judith N. Goldberg has transitioned to vice chair for programs.

Uncharted Territory
RootsWorld called the music on Off the Map "not quite classical, not quite 'world' music and quite likely not like anything else you've ever heard." Music from this album will be performed on our Asia tour in April.
