	Massachusetts, U.S. – Harvard University Residency October 20-22, 2009 A residency at Harvard focused on passion-driven education. Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Project received the Thelma E. Goldberg Arts in Education Award.
	Europe – Music Festivals Tour September 8-20, 2009 The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma performed in London, Ghent, Brussels, Cologne, Lucerne and Bucharest
	New York, U.S. – Silk Road Connect Camp August 31-September 1, 2009 The Silk Road Project held an introductory workshop for teachers in the pilot program of Silk Road Connect, a multi-year, multidisciplinary educational initiative.
	New York, U.S. – Lincoln Center Concerts & Broadcast June 5-9, 2009 The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma gave two concerts at Alice Tully Hall and a free performance at Damrosch Park, broadcast live on PBS.
	Rhode Island, U.S. – Student Workshop & RISD Residency March 4, 2009 The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma performed for RI high schoolers; RISD students got a look behind the scenes of a new multimedia work.
	New York, U.S. – Workshop for Teachers February 25, 2009 Yo-Yo Ma, storyteller Ben Haggarty and indigo expert Jenny Balfour-Paul shared an idea for passion-driven education with New York City teachers.
	Doha, Qatar – World Premiere of Layla and Majnun November 22 & 23, 2008 The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma performed for the opening of the Museum of Islamic Art.
	New York, U.S. – United Nations Day Concert October 24, 2008 The 63rd United Nations Day was celebrated with a concert by the Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma in the UN General Assembly Hall.
	Massachusetts, U.S. – New Commissions Workshop September 7-15, 2008 The Silk Road Ensemble developed five new musical works and invited the public to an open rehearsal at Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, Massachusetts.
	Rhode Island, U.S. - RISD Residency May 13-21, 2008 Silk Road Ensemble members visited RISD for a final performance with students in the “Folk Tales in the Digital Age” class.
	Japan – Concert Tour April 19-27, 2008 Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensmble traveled to Matsumoto, Nagoya, Tokyo, Osaka and Okayama for a whirlwind eight-concert tour.
	Rhode Island, U.S. – RISD Residency April 4-10, 2008 The Silk Road Ensemble presented a storytelling concert at RISD.
	Rhode Island, U.S. – RISD Residency February 18-23, 2008 Silk Road Ensemble members began a semester-long collaboration with students in RISD’s “Folk Tales in the Digital Age” class.
	Massachusetts, U.S. – Harvard Residency November 26-30, 2007 Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble shared programs about the classic Central Asian love story of Layla and Majnun.
	China – Concert Tour October 2-12, 2007 Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble traveled to Shanghai, Suzhou, Hong Kong and Beijing to present concerts and cultural exchange workshops.
	India – Planning Trip September 2-9, 2007 Silk Road Project staff traveled to Delhi and Rajasthan in preparation for a Silk Road Ensemble cultural exchange.
	Zurich, Switzerland – Museum Residency August 28-September 2, 2007 The Silk Road Ensemble was in residence at the Museum Rietberg in Zurich.
	Lucerne, Switzerland – Lucerne Festival Concerts August 23 & 25, 2007 Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble performed two concerts at the acclaimed Lucerne Festival.
	Villecroze, France – Music Development Retreat August 15-21, 2007 Yo-Yo Ma and Silk Road Ensemble members developed new works at the Academie Musicale de Villecroze.
	China – Planning Trip July 30-August 7, 2007 Silk Road Project staff traveled to Hong Kong and Beijing in preparation for a concert tour in China by the Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma.
	Baku, Azerbaijan – Cultural Exchange May 16-20, 2006 Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble were in residence in Baku, Azerbaijan, collaborating with Azerbaijani musicians.
	Tel Aviv , Israel – Prize Ceremony & Symposium May 21-23, 2006 Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Project received the Dan David Prize, and the Ensemble performed in Tel Aviv, Israel.
