Music critic Robert Levine called this CD "a thrill a minute...it's all wonderful."

An e-Music pick by John Schaefer		Silk Road Journeys: Beyond the Horizon 2005 – Sony Classical The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma Beyond the Horizon features music inspired by the traditions of India, China, Armenia, Persia and Azerbaijan, and also by the meeting of these cultures. This album accompanies a ten-part series about the Silk Road produced by Japan's NHK television network.
