We are very pleased to announce that Hyosung Corporation, a global manufacturer based in Seoul, Korea, has signed on to be a Lead Corporate Sponsor of the Silk Road Project through 2014. Hyosung is a family-owned company with seven business groups and 24 affiliated businesses in Asia, the U.S., Latin America and Europe, with products including textiles, chemicals, power and industrial technology, and construction materials.
A significant focus of Hyosung's work is renewable and high-efficiency energy systems. The corporation maintains active employee-driven programs addressing the environment, hunger and cultural heritage.
We partnered with Hyosung initially during our 2010 Asia tour, when the company sponsored our performance at the Seoul Arts Center. From 2011 through 2014, Hyosung will support the Silk Road Ensemble's performances and our education programs and residencies around the world. |
